Recording and playing a demo:
/cinematic <name>  plays movie file video/name
/demo <filename>   plays demo file demos/filename.dm3
/record <demoname> record a demo to demos/demoname.dm3 (see demo, stopdemo)
/stopdemo          stop recordding demo (see record, pleaydemo)
/timedemo 0        enable timedemo mode (max fps) -- disable

Third Person View
You can view your character (or when following other people in spectator mode) in third person now: 
/cg_thirdperson 1    (/cg_thirdperson 0 to turn off)

You can then use /cg_thirdpersonrange xxx to determine how far away you are following them from.
If the server has cheats enabled you can also use /cg_thirdpersonangle xxx in order to view them from a different side.

To save having to mess around typing in commands while the game is on, check out this link http://q3a.pcgame.com/scripts/index.html. It has a script (ie. copy it into your cfg file) that lets you use the numeric pad for changing camera angles and distances (it's crap for playing the game, but  excellent for following other people around)  Look for the script written by AcidPhreak titled "Third-Person Controls".
 

Spectator Mode:
Now all you have to do is press Esc, and select the Spectator mode menu option. 
Once in spectator mode you can fly around (but there is no flying through walls etc) or press the Fire button and follow other people. 
 

Joining a Team
Like spectator mode, the team joining commands are now in the menu.

Stop Player Roll Movement
Turn off the gun bob and stop myself rolling.

Put all these commands in your autoexec.cfg in you baseq3 folder. If you do not have one make one with a text editor and make sure the file name is autoexec with the .cfg extension. 
 

Map Secrets
q3dm16 and q3dm19 both have Dust Puppy under the maps
q3dm11 has the dopefish and battlesuit in the secret door. battlesuit in team FFA
q3dm15 need rocket jump to get BFG
q3tourney6 you can smash the players at the BFG by shooting the switch
